Algoma Steel fined $1.2 million for federal environmental and wildlife offences
The Sault Ste. Marie steelmaker pleaded guilty to one count under the Fisheries Act and one under the Migratory Birds Convention Act, 1994, over a gear oil deposit into the St. Marys River.
