Saskatoon closes 21st Street E, McCormack Road and Spadina Crescent E this week

Four priority one roadways in Saskatoon face full closures or lane restrictions Thursday through Sunday, with detours signed and transit possibly affected.

Saskatoon will close 21st Street E between 3rd Avenue S and 4th Avenue S on Thursday, Sept. 24 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the All in a Day Event, the city said in a release dated Sept. 23, 2026.¹

The Avenue W S intersection at 21st Street W closes for sewer work starting at 7 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24 until 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25. Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists around the areas.¹

McCormack Road closes between Borland Place and Whitecap Crescent for road resurfacing starting at 7 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25 until 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26.¹

Spadina Crescent E closes between 22nd Street E and 24th Street E for the annual Step Up Marathon. Closures start at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 and end at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27.¹

Saskatoon Transit may be affected by these detours. Service alerts and real-time bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.¹
