Cumberland Avenue will close between College Drive and Elliott Street in Saskatoon beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, October 26, the City of Saskatoon said in a release issued October 23. The closure is expected to last approximately four to five weeks.1

Two-way vehicle traffic, one lane each in the east and west directions, will be maintained on College Drive through the Cumberland Avenue intersection during the closure. Pedestrians will be able to cross College Drive at a temporary signalized crossing to be installed immediately east of the intersection.1

The city said the closure is required to relocate existing traffic signal poles throughout the intersection and install new curb along the north side of the road.1

This work is required to be complete to allow the north lanes to be open to traffic and will help prepare the College Drive for operations over the winter season, minimizing further closures in 2027.1City of Saskatoon
