MiWay adjusts 16 routes Oct. 26 and cuts three weekday routes over the holidays

Mississauga's transit agency says the fall changes aim at operational efficiency and reliability, and holiday service runs Dec. 21 to Jan. 3.

Sixteen MiWay routes in Mississauga get new schedules starting Oct. 26, the City of Mississauga said, with holiday service running from Dec. 21, 2026 to Jan. 3, 2027. The city said the fall adjustments are meant to improve operational efficiency, align service to demand and improve service reliability.1

The weekday routes affected are 2 Hurontario, 5 Dixie, 6 Credit Woodlands, 14A Lorne Park, 15 Drew, 17 Hurontario, 20 Rathburn, 23 Lakeshore, 30 Rexdale, 35 Eglinton, 38 Creditview, 39 Britannia, 45/45A Winston Churchill, 90 Terragar-Copenhagen, 103 Hurontario Express and 135 Eglinton Express. All but 14A Lorne Park, 15 Drew, 30 Rexdale, 35 Eglinton, 39 Britannia and 135 Eglinton Express also change on Saturdays and Sundays.1

Over the holidays, MiWay will run reduced weekday service on select dates to reflect lower customer demand. Routes 18 Derry, 126 Burnhamthorpe Express and 135 Eglinton Express will not operate on weekdays, and Route 44 Mississauga Road will run with fewer trips.1

School routes and supplementary school trips pause during the secondary school holiday break. Extended late-night service on select routes will run after midnight for New Year's Eve, the city said.1

Updated schedules are posted on the MiWay schedules page. The next planned service change is Jan. 4, 2027.1
