Colchester council sets Oct. 29 hearing on Hilden rezoning

The Municipality of Colchester will hold a public hearing on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026 at 6pm in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 1 Church Street in Truro, the municipality said in a notice dated Oct. 13, 2026.1

Council will consider a request to amend the Colchester Municipal Land Use By-law to rezone lands at 1786 Truro Road in Hilden, identified as PID 20251229, from Commercial to Residential, according to the notice.1

The notice says any representation or written objections from interested persons may be made at the hearing. The staff report is posted on the municipal website at www.colchester.ca/Planning under Current Planning Applications.1
