Calgary police investigate Rosscarrock motorcycle crash that injured man
A motorcycle left Bow Trail S.W. on Saturday evening and struck a lamppost on the grass median, police say. The rider, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with life-altering injuries.
Calgary police are investigating a single-vehicle motorcycle collision in the southwest community of Rosscarrock that left one man with life-altering injuries. The City of Calgary newsroom issued its notice on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026, at 6:03 p.m. UTC.1
The crash happened on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at approximately 8:50 p.m. A motorcycle operated by a man in his 20s was travelling westbound on Bow Trail S.W., between 33 Street S.W. and 37 Street S.W., when it left the roadway and struck a lamppost on the grass median.1
The rider was transported to hospital with serious, life-altering injuries. Police say speed is being investigated as a factor in the collision, and that all other factors remain under investigation.1
