Battlefield 6 Joins EA Play With Season 5 Rewards on Xbox

Battlefield 6 is now available to EA Play members on Xbox Cloud Gaming, Xbox PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate, Microsoft Gaming said in a post published Oct. 13 on its Xbox Wire newsroom. The publisher said members get unlimited access to the game, a Season 5 EA Play Pack and recurring seasonal rewards, and can save 10 per cent on the Ultimate Shortcut kit, Battlefield Pro and other EA digital purchases.¹

The post describes Battlefield 6 as "the definitive Battlefield experience," built around all-out war, fast-paced close-quarters combat and tactical destruction. Players join an elite squad of Marine Raiders "fighting relentlessly to save a world on the edge of collapse," according to Microsoft Gaming, and the campaign spans a global scale: driving tanks across the Sahara, storming the beaches of Gibraltar and defending New York from invasion.¹

The game's fiction sets the world on edge, with major European countries having left NATO while the United States and its allies grapple with a new political power, Microsoft Gaming said. Anyone challenging that power faces highly trained, merciless soldiers "seeking their fortune, even if they have to scorch the earth to get it," the post says.¹

Season 5 moves the war to Las Vegas with three new maps: the Las Vegas Strip, lavish casinos and the top-secret military base Area 51. Microsoft Gaming lists the biggest updates to the combat arsenal yet, with six new weapons, two new vehicles, a new free-to-play royale experience called Rapid Royale, the official launch of Ranked BR, multiplayer leaderboards, Platoons, major updates to Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City, and a new Operation High Roller.¹

A Game of the Year Edition is sold separately and is not included with an EA Play subscription, the publisher said. It adds the Trusted Reserve Pax Support Soldier Skin, the Phantom Pack and two progression boosts: immediate access to fully progressed weapons and attachments through the Ultimate Shortcut Kit, and one season of Battlefield Pro.¹

Members who are new players can claim an EA Play Deployment Pack, and the Season 5 EA Play Pack is available through Jan. 18, Microsoft Gaming said. October rewards also cover other EA titles: a Gold Ancient Guardian Weapon Charm for Apex Legends through Nov. 2, an Ultimate Team pack for EA Sports Madden NFL 27 through Oct. 31, World of Chel Season Pass XP Multiplier Tokens and Chel Coins for EA Sports NHL 27 until Nov. 19, and a College Football Ultimate Team pack for EA Sports College Football 27 through Oct. 31.¹

EA Play membership includes unlimited access to a collection of top titles, trials of select new games, in-game member rewards and 10 per cent off EA digital purchases, according to Microsoft Gaming. The publisher said conditions, limitations and exclusions apply, with details in the EA Play Terms, and pointed readers to its EA Play Member Benefits site and to X and Instagram for more information.¹
