Aloft and Conan Exiles Enhanced head to PS5 in early 2027

Aloft and Conan Exiles Enhanced will launch on PlayStation 5 in early 2027, Sony Interactive Entertainment said in a PlayStation announcement dated Oct. 27, 2026. The platform holder said release dates and further details for both games would come later, and it asked players to wishlist both titles on the PlayStation Store.¹

The announcement follows the launch of Dune: Awakening on PlayStation 5, which Sony described as the start of a wider push to bring open-world survival games to the console. "We're excited to bring two more of our open-world survival adventures to PlayStation 5 in early 2027," the company said.¹

Aloft makes console debut

Aloft, a co-op sandbox survival game set in the clouds, will make its console debut on PS5 with Funcom as publisher, according to the announcement. The developer, Astrolabe, said the game had been in development for six years and that its team grew from a small group of friends.¹

The PS5 version will include all updates released during the game's Early Access period on PC as well as the 1.0 experience, the announcement said. Since launching in Early Access, the developer said it has introduced five major content updates to Aloft, adding new wildlife, puzzles, combat improvements, glider customization and expanded exploration.¹

Players build a home among the clouds, turn floating islands into skyships and explore alone or with friends, restoring the ecosystem and curing fungal corruption, according to the announcement. "Launching the complete game on PS5 marks an exciting new chapter for us," the developer said.¹

Conan Exiles Enhanced free for owners

Conan Exiles Enhanced will be free on PS5 for all players who own Conan Exiles on PlayStation, Sony said. Both the PS4 and PS5 versions will be available to purchase, and buying one version will get the other for free, with purchased Bazaar items and downloadable content carrying over from PS4 to PS5.¹

The Enhanced edition brings improved environments, characters, lighting and effects, along with a redesigned user interface and performance and quality-of-life improvements, according to the announcement. It also makes exploring the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah expansion more seamless; Isle of Siptah remains a separate purchase.¹

The new Legacy of the Giant-Kings story arc will be included in the console launch of Conan Exiles Enhanced from day one, the company said. Players will uncover the mysteries of the ancient Giant-Kings and explore their forgotten legacy, with new challenges, discoveries and rewards.¹

Sony did not give specific release dates for either game, saying only that they would arrive in early 2027 and that more details would be shared later.¹
