108th Street overpass repairs start Sept. 14, closing lanes on Circle Drive

Saskatoon will close the northbound curb lane on Circle Drive and the eastbound curb lane on the overpass while damaged girders are repaired. The work is expected to finish by Sept. 27.

Repair work on the 108th Street overpass over Circle Drive in Saskatoon is scheduled to begin Monday, Sept. 14, the City of Saskatoon said. The work is needed to repair damaged girders after a vehicle impact this spring.1

Drivers and pedestrians should expect lane and sidewalk closures for the duration. The northbound curb lane on Circle Drive below the overpass will be closed so crews can reach the repair areas, and the eastbound curb lane on the overpass will be closed for the repairs.1

The sidewalk on the overpass will be closed for the duration of the work. The westbound curb lane will also be closed to accommodate a pedestrian detour.1

The work is expected to be complete by Sept. 27, weather permitting and subject to unforeseen circumstances. The city encourages drivers and pedestrians to plan ahead, follow posted signage and use caution in the work zone.1
