Toronto's Medical Officer of Health will be vaccinated against influenza, COVID-19 and respiratory syncytial virus at a pharmacy on University Avenue on Tuesday morning, Toronto Public Health said in a media advisory. Dr. Michelle Murti is scheduled to receive her seasonal vaccinations at 9 a.m. at MisterPharmacist, 525 University Ave., the city department said.1
The department said it organized the event to highlight the importance of protecting yourself and others against respiratory illnesses as respiratory virus season begins. Paid underground parking is available nearby, with entrance access from Elm Street, according to the advisory.1
Toronto Public Health said flu, COVID-19 and RSV vaccines are now available to eligible residents. "Vaccination remains one of the most effective ways to reduce the risk of serious illness and help protect vulnerable members of the community," the department said in the advisory.1
