Grand Theft Auto VI pre-download opens November 10 ahead of November 19 launch

Grand Theft Auto VI will launch November 19 on PlayStation 5, and players who pre-order can begin pre-downloading the game at local midnight on November 10, Sony Interactive Entertainment said in a post published November 3.¹

The platform holder said players should clear a minimum of 212GB of storage space on their PlayStation 5 before the download begins, and pointed to options for extending console storage ahead of the release.¹

Sony Interactive Entertainment published the guidance as a four-step checklist for launch day. It told new players to create a PlayStation account and sign in on their console, and told existing players to confirm their sign-in information and account details are up to date.¹

The company said players can pre-order the game through the PlayStation Store or participating retailers to be ready to play as soon as it becomes available on November 19. It said the PlayStation Store product page lists available editions, pricing and additional details.¹

Sony Interactive Entertainment said players who pre-order the Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition will receive an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel and action threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story.¹

The post also listed accessories for players who want to personalize their setup, including the DualSense Edge wireless controller, the PlayStation Pulse wireless headset and Pulse Elevate Wireless speakers.¹

Sony Interactive Entertainment said it will have more information on Grand Theft Auto VI as the release gets closer. The post closed with the line: "Stay tuned for additional details later this year."¹

The November 3 post gives no release window beyond the November 19 launch date and does not mention early access. It also does not name the developer or publisher of Grand Theft Auto VI, state a price for any edition, or say whether the game will be available on platforms other than PlayStation 5.¹
