Boil water advisory lifted for Eagle Ridge, remains for Heritage Park
Alberta Health Services rescinded the advisory for the Calgary community effective immediately, the City of Calgary said. Heritage Park is still under the advisory while it works to meet testing requirements.
Alberta Health Services has rescinded the Boil Water Advisory for the Calgary community of Eagle Ridge, effective immediately, the City of Calgary said in a notice published Oct. 27. The advisory remains in place for Heritage Park.1
The City of Calgary said Heritage Park is working directly with Alberta Health Services to ensure testing requirements are met for its site.1
The city said its labs, working with Alberta Health Services and Alberta Environment and Protected Areas, tested and confirmed that the water in Eagle Ridge meets water-quality guidelines and standards and is safe for consumption.1
What residents should do
Residents and businesses that have used their water in the past 24 hours can consume it without boiling, the city said. Those who have not used their water in that period should flush their system.1
To flush a household or business system, the city advises turning the bathtub tap on cold for 10 minutes, then turning all other faucets on cold for five minutes. For businesses without a bathtub or shower, the city says to turn on all faucets on cold for 10 minutes.1
The City of Calgary thanks affected residents and businesses for their patience and cooperation during this time.1City of Calgary
