Boil Water Advisory Issued for Five Makesho Street Addresses

A precautionary Boil Water Advisory is in effect for 26, 27, 28, 29 and 31 Makesho Street, issued Sept. 22, 2026 by the Ontario Clean Water Agency because a watermain tie in required isolation of that section of watermain.

The advisory remains in effect until sampling indicates the water is safe to drink, which the notice puts at approximately three to four days after repairs. Residents will be notified when the advisory has been lifted.

The notice directs people who take their water from the communal system to follow the advice in a Porcupine Health Unit fact sheet titled "How to use water safely during a 'boil water advisory'."

For anyone who prefers not to boil water, an alternate source of drinking water is made available at the Water Plant, and residents are asked to bring their own clean container.
