The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has started an expiry review of its finding on certain small power transformers from Chinese Taipei and Korea, a step that will decide whether that finding stays in place.

The tribunal initiated the review, numbered RR-2026-007, on Oct. 1, according to the government notice. The review concerns the finding the tribunal made on Dec. 24, 2021, in inquiry NQ-2021-003.

The tribunal will determine whether the expiry of the finding is likely to lead to continued or resumed dumping of the transformers, and whether that is likely to result in injury to the domestic industry.
