Saskatoon police are investigating a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian that occurred on Sept. 18, 2026, at approximately 10:00 p.m. in the 1300 block of 8th Street East, according to a Saskatoon Police Service news release (Occurrence Number: 26-135507).
Arriving officers located a 23-year-old woman with what were believed to be serious injuries, the release states. She was transported to hospital by paramedics for further medical treatment.
Officers also learned that the vehicle involved in the collision did not remain on scene, according to the release. Shortly after, police received a call for service from a man who reported that he was the operator of the vehicle that had hit the woman.
The 19-year-old man was arrested without further incident but was later released pending further investigation, police said.
