Ottawa pre-publishes feed ban amendments to align with U.S.

Agriculture Minister Heath MacDonald says the proposed changes to Canada's Enhanced Feed Ban are science-based and aimed at helping cattle processors compete.

Agriculture and Agri-Food Minister Heath MacDonald announced that the Canadian Food Inspection Agency has pre-published proposed regulatory amendments in Canada Gazette, Part I to better align Canada's Enhanced Feed Ban with the United States.1

MacDonald said the amendments are science-based and will make it easier for Canadian cattle processors to compete.1
