Ottawa gives $2.2 million to Edmonton youth crime prevention group

Justice Minister Sean Fraser announced federal funding for REACH Edmonton Council for Safe Communities through the Crime Prevention Action Fund.

The federal government is putting $2.2 million toward a youth crime prevention project in Edmonton, run by REACH Edmonton Council for Safe Communities. Justice Minister and Attorney General Sean Fraser announced the funding on Sept. 9.1

The money comes through the Crime Prevention Action Fund, the government said in its announcement.1
