OSC approves transfer of illiquid private assets to sidecar limited partnership

The Ontario Securities Commission has approved an application by LDIC Inc. and the Healthcare Special Opportunities Fund under paragraph 5.5(1)(b) of NI 81-102, according to a decision published Sept. 30.

The approval permits the transfer of illiquid private assets from a terminating investment fund to a newly established sidecar limited partnership. The decision was issued under National Policy 11-203, the process for exemptive relief applications in multiple jurisdictions.
