Nunavut visitor trips fall 8.8 per cent, spending rises to $46.1 million

Non-Nunavut-resident visitors made 22,800 trips to the territory in the third quarter of 2025, down from a year earlier, while total visitor spending grew 4.5 per cent.

Non-Nunavut-resident visitors took 22,800 trips to Nunavut in the third quarter of 2025, down 8.8 per cent from the third quarter of 2024, according to Statistics Canada.1

Total visitor spending in the territory rose 4.5 per cent over the same period, to $46.1 million.1

Statistics Canada published the figures on July 8, 2026. The release does not break the totals down by region, by month within the quarter, or by air versus cruise travel.1
