Coast Guard welcomes CCGS Judy LaMarsh to Great Lakes fleet

The Canadian Coast Guard says the vessel is the first additional large ship to join the Great Lakes region in more than thirty years.

The Canadian Coast Guard officially welcomed Canadian Coast Guard Ship Judy LaMarsh into its fleet on Sept. 10, the first time an additional large vessel has joined the Great Lakes region in over thirty years, according to the Government of Canada.1

Bruce Fanjoy, Member of Parliament for Carleton, attended the welcome on behalf of David J. McGuinty, Minister of National Defence, according to the government.1
