Canada's services trade swings to $0.3-billion surplus in July

Service exports rose 1.2 per cent to $21.0 billion while imports fell 1.1 per cent to $20.7 billion, flipping June's $0.2-billion deficit.

Canada's monthly international trade in services balance moved from a deficit of $0.2 billion in June to a surplus of $0.3 billion in July, Statistics Canada reported Sept. 3.1

Exports of services increased 1.2 per cent to $21.0 billion, while imports of services declined 1.1 per cent to $20.7 billion, according to the agency.1

The figures are not seasonally adjusted in the source, and the monthly move is not a trend.1
