Calgary's two-day municipal golf tournament tees off Aug. 1 at Shaganappi Point

Golfers of all skill levels tee it up this weekend at two City of Calgary municipal golf courses, with the 2026 edition of the tournament beginning Saturday, August 1, at Shaganappi Point Golf Course and continuing Sunday, August 2, at Maple Ridge Golf Course.

Tee times at Shaganappi Point, at 1200 26 St. S.W., begin at 12 p.m. on the Saturday. Tee times at Maple Ridge, at 1240 Mapleglade Dr. S.E., begin at 8 a.m. on the Sunday.

The city announced the event on July 30. There is no entry fee, prize purse or field size in the evidence, so what the tournament is worth in dollars is not known.

The weekend is designed to bring people together, foster new connections and create lasting memories, according to the City of Calgary. Players will be encouraged to challenge themselves, meet fellow golf enthusiasts and experience what the city calls the unique sense of camaraderie that has long made golf a community-building sport.
